On April 1, 2026, at 6:35 PM EDT (4:05 AM IST, Thursday, April 2, 2026), the Artemis II moon mission launched successfully from the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida, United States.

For the first time in over 50 years, humans are leaving Low Earth Orbit and heading back to the Moon.
