Losing weight for the sake of health is a challenging journey which demands determination and consistency. While working out and exercise play an important role, another crucial thing is diet. Choosing what to eat, and what not to eat, makes a big difference.Recently, a personal weight loss journey was shared by a man named Keshav Gupta (@keshavaguptaa) on Instagram who transformed himself from weighing 136kg to 90 kg. In the post, Keshav highlighted the 5 food items he completely avoided during his transformation days, and also listed the alternative he chose. 1. Keshav avoided High-GI grains that had GI levels greater than 50. Some of these food items are wheat, rice, suji etc. Foods high in GI can spike insulin and increase fat storage.Some alternatives he listed are: Millets in small quantities, cauliflower, legumes. 2. The second thing Keshav listed was sugar and even natural sweets. Some of these food items are: Sugar, khaand, honey, dates.The alternatives he chose were stevia, monk fruit and cinnamon. 3. The third food item he lists is processed and packed foods. Keshav avoided soft drinks, biscuits, chips and candies. These foods are addictive and only add empty calories.He chose healthier alternatives and consumed homemade snacks, nuts, and coconut water. 4. For his transformation, Keshav says he avoided sweet fruits like mango, grapes and apples. He claims to avoid these fruits as they are high in fructose load, which can slow down fat loss.He shared eating berries, avocado, lemon and coconut. 5.
