Bihar State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Sanjay Saraogi on Saturday (December 27, 2025) met Union Minister Amit Shah and party’s president J P Nadda in Delhi seeking guidance from the seniors.
It was Mr. Saraogi’s first meeting with Mr. Shah and Mr. Nadda after being appointed as State president earlier this month. He also met Bihar in-charge Vinod Tawde.
“Discussions were held on several issues including organisational expansion and the development of Bihar. The guidance received from senior leaders will prove inspiring in making my work more effective,” Mr. Saraogi said after meeting.
The 56-year-old leader who is a popular face in Mithilanchal region and has been MLA for five consecutive terms from Darbhanga Sadar Assembly constituency presented all of them with a Mithila painting as a gift from Bihar.
The Vaishya community leader who earlier served as the coordinator of the Bihar State BJP Cow Protection Cell asserted that he sought their blessings, and received their guidance to make the campaign for organisational expansion.
Before becoming the State President, Mr. Saraogi held various positions in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for 10 years during his student days. In 1999, he also held the position of District Minister of the Bharatiya Yuva Janata Morcha (BJYM).
Mr. Saraogi said that he discussed various aspects of the comprehensive development of Bihar with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and received guidance on organizational issues.
He reiterated that no party worker would be neglected and every worker would be given due respect. Mr. Saraogi also said that efforts would be made to ensure coordination between the organisation and the government, with the goal of building a developed Bihar.
