A blast of cold air is on its way to the Chicago area later this week, after some more snow expected Wednesday.
An Extreme Cold Watch is set to go into effect from 3 a.m. until noon Friday for the Chicago area.

A burst of light snow is expected between 6 and 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Wind speeds will be increasing Wednesday night into Thursday, as well.
On Friday, wind chills could be as low as 30 to 35 below zero.

That could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
