Chief Minister Stalin inaugurating a community hall and model school building in Kolathur Assembly constituency on Thursday.
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Thursday visited his Kolathur constituency and inaugurated various development projects there.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a community hall constructed at ₹25.72 crore and model school building constructed at a cost of ₹17.47 crore. He also unveiled a bust of former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai.
‘Eager to visit’
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Stalin listed the welfare programmes his government has implemented in the constituency and said he was always eager to visit Kolathur. Presiding over weddings during his visit, Mr. Stalin shared a personal anecdote and recalled his imprisonment under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act.
Thanking his wife for having withstood the tough times, he advised the grooms to listen to their wives.
During his visit to the constituency, he got off his vehicle and shook hands with people.
Ministers K.N. Nehru, P.K. Sekarbabu and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi; Chennai Mayor R. Priya, legislators Thayagam Kavi, A. Vetriazhagan and Joseph Samuel, and senior officials were present.
