Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released the book ‘The Unprecedented success story of the first indigenous supersonic mutlitarget surface to air missile system – Akash’ authored by former outstanding scientist, project director ‘Akash’ & programme director, Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) G Chandramouli at the DRDO headquarters in New Delhi earlier this week. An alumni of REC Warangal and hailing from Madhira town, Khammam district and has been selected for ‘Padma Sri’ Award 2026’ in science and engineering category, said a press release on Friday.
