The pitch assisted seamers so much that no over of spin was bowled in the whole game – the last time that happened in an IPL match of considerable length was back in 2008. After being sent in, PBKS rode on Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer’s half-centuries to post 210 for 5. Iyer later said he felt it was 30 more than the par score. It seemed that way when DC lost three wickets in the powerplay but Axar Patel and David Miller kept them going. Both scored fifties and took DC close.
