Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha handed over compassionate appointment letters to the family members of those, who lost their lives during the Nowgam’s accidental blast during the meeting at Lok Bhavan, in Srinagar on Friday.

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday handed over appointment letters to the next of kin of those who died in a blast at the Nowgam police station on November 14.
“Interacted with the families of Nowgam’s accidental blast martyrs at Srinagar Lok Bhavan and handed over compassionate appointment letters to them. Entire nation stands united with the families of martyrs to ensure they live a life of comfort and dignity,” Mr. Sinha said.
Nine people, including one State Investigating Agency (SIA) official, three Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) personnel, two crime photographers, two revenue officials and one civilian tailor were among the dead.
Paying tributes to the martyrs, Mr. Sinha expressed gratitude to their families. “The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families to ensure they live a life of comfort and dignity,” the J&K L-G said.
He said the whole country was proud of the J&K Police for stopping terror in its tracks by unearthing and dismantling the terror network last month. He also appreciated the J&K Police’s meticulous investigation and multi-faceted effort to detect, disrupt and prevent terrorist acts.
Mr. Sinha directed the senior officers to disrupt the terrorist financing pipeline and effectively counter the radicalisation attempts by certain separatist elements.
