State Minister for Housing and Information and Public Relations Kolusu Parthasarathy held a Praja Darbar at his office in Nuzvid on Friday, drawing an encouraging response from the public. The Minister received 16 petitions from people belonging to different mandals of the constituency.
Some grievances were resolved on the spot after the Minister issued immediate instructions to the officials concerned, while directions were given to address the remaining petitions within a stipulated time.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Parthasarathy said every petition received at the Praja Darbar should be examined thoroughly and resolved without delay. He noted that people from four mandals of the constituency attend the weekly programme with the hope of redressal of their problems.
The Minister instructed officials to treat the petitions seriously and, wherever necessary, conduct field-level inquiries to resolve the issues. He warned that any delay or negligence in addressing public grievances would invite strict action against the officials concerned. He said timely resolution of petitions would improve public satisfaction and gradually reduce the number of grievances.
Officials from various departments, public representatives, coalition leaders and villagers from different places participated in the Praja Darbar.
