‘Instead of AIIMS we have been given aama (turtle),’ Congress MP from Kerala says in RS
Congress MP from Kerala Jebi Mather Hisham raises the “long-pending demand” of an AIIMS.
“With a high density and ageing population, with a high spread of communicable diseases, Kerala deserves an AIIMS,” she says.
“Instead of AIIMS, we have been given tortoise (Turtle trails scheme)”.
She claims even a BJP MP like Suresh Gopi left the house as he couldn’t emotionally take it.
She says that despite many States across India having AIIMS, the central government is denying “Kerala’s united request.”
