Parvatipuram-Manyam Collector N. Prabhakar Reddy on Tuesday (January 06) formally launched Helping Hands programme in Parvatipuram area hospital with an aim to ensure hassle-free services to patients and their attendants. He said that the selected volunteers would guide the needy patients and their family members at all 12 area hospitals and community health centers in the district as the trail run was successfully completed in Saluru hospital recently.

Speaking to media here, he said that members of various organisations including Indian Red Cross Society, Rotary Club, Lions Club, senior citizens welfare association and others had come forward to spare time to assist the patients at hospitals. According to him, many patients and attendants who are tribals are facing difficulties in getting services at the hospitals. The volunteers at the help desks will guide them in meeting the doctors concerned and get other services.

Mr. Prabhakar said that the persons who would complete one month service would be given certificates. Parvatipuram MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra assured to extend the support from TDP activists from the programme. Along with Collector, he reviewed the developmental activities of the Parvatipuram hospital.
