24.36% turnout in Karimnagar Municipal Corporation till 11 a.m.
A voter turnout of 24.36% was recorded till 11 a.m. in the municipal elections to the key Karimnagar Municipal Corporation (MCK).
The MCK with 66 divisions is witnessing a keen contest mainly between the Congress, the BJP and the BRS with the former two parties vying with each other to clinch the crucial civic body in north Telangana and the latter is keen on retaining it.
Several divisions in the MCK are featuring multi-cornered contests between the three major political parties as well as the AIMIM and candidates of various other parties including independent candidates. In all, 398 candidates are in the fray.
