Ahead of Akshaya Tritiya, the Bidar district administration has formed special teams to keep vigil and prevent child marriages, alongside organising a one-day awareness programme for officials and staff of various departments at Bidar on Friday (April 17).
The programme was jointly organised by the Directorate of Child Protection, Bengaluru, the district administration, zilla panchayat, the Department of Women and Child Development, allied departments, and the District Child Protection Unit, Bidar.
