The Enforcement Directorate on Monday (December 29, 2025) raided multiple locations in Chhattisgarh as part of investigation into Bharatmala project land acquisition case.
The Enforcement Directorate on Monday (December 29, 2025) is conducting searches at nine premises in Raipur and Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, in connection with investigation into alleged irregularities in the payment of compensation for acquisition of land for Raipur-Visakhapatnam economic economic corridor under the Bharatmala Project, an official source said.
The ED official said the searches cover premises linked to Harmit Singh Khanuja, his associates, concerned government officials and landowners.

The ‘Bharatmala Pariyojana’ envisages the development of about 26,000 km of economic corridors, which, along with the Golden Quadrilateral and North-South and East-West Corridors, are expected to carry the majority of the freight traffic on roads.
