The ISKCON Hubballi-Dharwad temple will hold grand celebrations of Vaikunta Ekadasi on Tuesday.
Addressuing presspersons in Hubballi on Friday, Vice-President of ISKCON Hubballi-Dharwad Raghottam Dasa said that the first phase of a new temple will also be inaugurated on the occasion.
“On this day special entrance on the northern side of Vishnu temples will be ceremonially opened. As part of the celebrations, a gold-painted Vaikuntha Dwara will be erected at the temple entrance. The Vaikuntha Dwara Puja will commence at 8.30 a.m., following which the gate will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.,” he said.
He said that various rituals will be held during the day and in the evening, there will be cultural programmes, including classical dance performances by Vidushi Hema Waghmode and Vidushi Sahana Bhat, along with their troupes.
Darshan will be available for the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and elaborate arrangements have been made for vehicle parking.
